Art Workshop FAQ

We offer creative “Workshop Events” - a crossover between educational workshops and recreational events. They primarily feature fine arts activities such as painting, drawing, mixed media, and occasionally, DIY crafts.
Our workshops will have different themes and decors throughout the year. You will get to take away a curated gift set and a memorable experience with you at the end of each workshop!
We have three main types of workshops - children's workshops, family workshops, and adult workshops. A majority of our services are adult workshops.

We are not an art jamming studio.
Our workshops are different from art jamming because they are carefully curated experiences. This means from the learning material, teachers’ expertise, available guidance, down to the decor theme and gifts, we plan every session to be uniquely special.
In a typical art jamming studio, you are provided a space, supplies to paint whatever subject you prefer, and with little to no teaching support.
Our workshop events resemble more of a hybrid model, combining a learning experience and social event!
Thus the different price point as well compared to Art Jam studios.

Our art workshops are designed and hosted by Artisanu’s co-founders, art educators Eunice Lee and Sasha Cheung. Both founders are registered teachers (RT) under Hong Kong’s Education Bureau and hold a PGCE Certification in Arts Education from the University of Sunderland (UK).
They have eight years of professional teaching experience in private and academic school settings. They specialize in visual arts, and both graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts(BFA) in Studio Arts from the University of Texas at Austin.

No, we do not have a studio. We host our workshops across various locations in partnership with different event spaces (such as co-working spaces, galleries, and educational institutions). You may browse through our PAST EVENTS gallery to check out the venues that we collaborate with.

All workshops are conducted in English, with Cantonese and Mandarin translations if needed. Teaching materials are written with English.
Our instructors are fluent English speakers. Through our workshops, we hope to teach people English vocabulary for Fine Arts terms.

Our adult workshops are most suitable for ages 18 and up, however we do welcome all ages. Children under 12 are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
Most of the workshops are suitable for beginners to intermediate artists. Our instructors are experienced in teaching students with different levels of artistic skills, and will accommodate to provide you with appropriate support.

We provide childrens’ workshops to a range of different age groups. Depending on each workshop, it is catered towards either kindergarten, primary, or secondary students.
Both instructors are Registered Teachers under the Hong Kong Education Bureau, and have experience teaching kindergarten to secondary students. You can rest assured that the your child will be given a safe, educational and fun-filled experience!

We provide family-friendly workshops in which parents are invited to join their children. The age of the children that the workshop is catered towards is specific to each workshop, please see details in workshop descriptions.

If you suddenly cannot attend the class, want a refund, or wish to reschedule to another session, you must notify us through our Artisanu (Business Account) WhatsApp 3 days before the session. Our number is +852 5113 0221.
You can only reschedule to another class if there is still an open spot. Any notice within 3 days before the session will not be granted any refund or rescheduling.

The workshop minimum capacity is 4 students, and the maximum capacity is 10 students. Reservation of your spot is finalized only after we receive your payment.
If the minimum capacity of 4 is not met, you will be rescheduled to another workshop session or receive a full refund.

We accept bank transfers and FPS (electronic bank transfers). You can only reserve your spot(s) for our workshops after payment is confirmed.

In the situation of Typhoon Signal 8 (T8), or Red/Black Rainstorm signal, class will be rescheduled – there will be no refunds or cancellations.

Yes, you can get early bird discounts or bring a friend package discounts. We provide options for each specific workshop!
Please do not request for further discounts, as our team works very hard to prepare the best teaching materials and supplies for each workshop event.

We are currently closed to bookings for private sessions or parties. We have provided such services in the past, so stay tuned for future services.
You are welcome to sign up for our available workshops with groups of friends or family.
